For our special summer edition event, Academy Principal, Claire Derrick will be joined by Course Director, Rosie Ham & Senior Course Lecturer on Fashion & Celebrity Events, Josef Jammerbund plus we will be welcoming some of our alumni who are now working at WRG, Terrapin & Plain Jane Events.

We will also be offering our 121 Career Consultation Chats with course specialists to discuss your plans, the courses in more detail and any funding questions you may have to ensure you make the right decision for your future. Claire Derrick, Academy Principal
Claire holds degrees from The University of Greenwich and New Hampshire College, Massachusetts, in International Business & Marketing. After working for an international finance corporation in Boston, Claire began her UK career at the Duchess of York’s charity, Children in Crisis. This sparked an interest in the charity sector which she pursued with events in USA, UK, Europe, China, Peru, Israel, Nepal and Vietnam. She was also an International Challenge Event specialist; creating and leading events globally. In addition to Claire’s event experience she has also held the position of Head of National Fundraising for Colon Cancer Concern.
Josef Jammerbund, Senior Course Lecturer, Fashion & Celebrity Events
Josef Jammerbund started his career in the events industry in London in the early 2000’s. He joined the British Fashion Council in 2013 as Head of Events with annual events London Fashion Week, the International London Show Rooms and The Fashion Awards. Most recently Josef embarked on a new journey to pursue his global ambitions to consult on luxury, cultural and lifestyle projects. These projects currently Cartier events and The Serpentine Summer Party.
Rosie Ham, Course Director
Rosie began her career in Australia for a leading events agency before moving onto work on the Sydney Olympics. Rosie then moved onto to work for Goldman Sachs as Vice President of Event Business. Rosie joined the Event Academy 6 years ago to lead our student programmes in London. She is Course Director and also lecturers while she continues to work as a freelance event consultant leading successful in-house teams in the media and financial services sectors, producing a wide variety of projects such as large scale conferences, C-suite events and corporate engagement programs, as well as writing and delivering training seminars.
