Lucy Gemmell is the founder of Rhubarb and built up her catering and event business to become the ‘go to’ agency for the great and the good. From Rock stars to royalty, film stars to the Olympics and leaders of industry, Lucy has been at the forefront of delivering great food and experiences both in the UK and around the world. Lucy’s catering career started after breaking her back in a riding accident whilst competing for Great Britain. In 1996 she set up Rhubarb and grew it into one of the most respected food and event businesses in the UK. Rhubarb now caters for over 400 events per year for between 10 and 2000 people at a time and is the exclusive provider to some of the countries most iconic venues, from the Royal Albert Hall, the London Eye and Royal Ascot. Lucy has been the food and event consultant at over 7 Olympic games and the Rugby World Cup and continues to design for and advise organisations and individuals, throughout the world.
