The course runs from Monday to Friday, 9.30pm-5pm. One week will be held in a classroom in London and the second week will take place in a virtual classroom so you can study from anywhere.
The virtual lectures are delivered live, in real time in class with other students so you can ask questions and interact.

Practical learning with real clients– you will work in small teams on a group project set by a real client – recent clients have included, Hilton Group, Everything Everywhere (EE), Cancer Research, Pret a Manger and the British Army.
Downloadable Resources – you will use and receive key templates and documents such as: production schedules, venue checklists, budget planning and health and safety assessments.
Site visits – you will recce some of London’s top venues and gain behind the scenes access to understand the planning required from an event manager’s viewpoint. Past site visits have included Chelsea FC, The Olympic Park, The Dorchester, Middle Temple, The O2, The Tower, London Fashion Week, Somerset House and The Royal Horse Guards.

Intensive Diploma in Event Management
This course is divided into key learning modules and a live-brief project giving students the chance to practice what they learn in a professional environment. Alongside the technical and logistical event learning provided, we aim to develop an informed confidence in our students. Event management requires great teamwork, resourcefulness, creativity and tenacity to succeed – we believe these soft skills as equally important to develop as academic knowledge. To help you prepare for your course you will be given access to pre-course modules one month ahead of your course start date.

FINAL MARK CRITERIA:
Marks are awarded: 60% Project 40 % Exam
One online exam – answering briefs & scenarios – open textbook is allowed.
During your course you will work on a group project to plan and organise a real event. Working as part of a small team with a brief from an actual client; you will develop creative, marketing and events solutions to achieve the objective before pitching your idea back to the client.
Previous clients include BMW, Credit Suisse, Hilton Foundations, EE, NetJets, The Winter Olympics, The United Nations, UNICEF Pret a Manger, L’Escargot, Albion Parties, adidas and Jamie’s Farm.
All our courses offer students the opportunity to volunteer at a variety of high profile events across the industry. Our reputation within the events industry has allowed us access to some of the most exciting events including The Brit Awards, adidas City Run, Secret Cinema, Wilderness Festival and the National Geographic Show.
Throughout the year, opportunities are posted for students on our online student hub. Each time you volunteer at an event you are able to add experience to your CV, create contacts and put your learning into action.
To help our students earn while you learn and to develop your experience, we have teamed up with a leading event staffing company who will fast track our students into jobs that you can fit around your studies.
With a choice of jobs and flexible hours, students will have the opportunity to work at VIP launches, weddings, film locations and exclusive concerts. Examples include Wembley, Silverstone, Goodwood, Alexandra Palace and Ascot Racecourse on events such as The Grand Prix, The FA Cup Final or concerts for Childish Gambino, 50 Cent, Britney Spears, Jess Glynne, Rudimental, Years and Years. We are flexible on qualifications depending on experience but as a guideline you can apply if you have ONE of the following:
• 2 A Levels & 5 GCSEs (including English & Maths)
• International Baccalaureate
• Experience working within events or marketing industry for minimum 6 months
• Relevant professional experience for minimum 6 months
