Each of our courses has different entry requirements and we would say that having some experience of events is helpful BUT not essential.
If you are able to pay your deposit for the Diploma course a few months in advance, quite often we can help you to get some volunteering prior to starting to build your experience of events.
It really doesn’t matter too much if you don’t have any experience, we will be there to help you and before, during and for three months after your course you are able to take up any volunteering we have on a first come, first served basis.
We have quite a wide range of people on the course so don’t feel you will be out of place.
We do have a minimum age of 18 but we welcome students of all ages!
Because the Diploma is our most popular course, it is the type of course that many different people find useful whatever point they are in their career, we tend to have a wide range of people on the course.
The main difference is that the Part Time is an evening course and the Intensive is a daytime course.
With the Part Time, we can carry on working as you would only need to come to class twice a week (6.30pm – 9pm) for three months whereas the Intensive is two weeks solid study all day (10am – 4pm).
So really it depends on what suits your schedule best really. The only other difference is with the course content – the Intensive does not have the Career Pathway panel but if you particularly wanted to attend this, we may be able to arrange it.
Yes! Alot of students are keen to build their CV and get experience of working at events.
Although we don’t offer an extended work placement – these are only available with the Postgraduate and Degree Alternative – we do offer one off events to volunteer at.
The events you can volunteer at range from the Brit Awards to adidas City Runs – there are multiple opportunities every month.
Once you become a student, you will have access to the opportunities via the Student Portal, you can simply sign up to the ones you wish to take part in.
Plus, these events are available to students three months before their course starts and three months after – so if you pay your deposit early, you can start volunteering!
We want to ensure that everyone who takes our courses is able to complete them successfully so we do request that all prospective students complete a Course Consultation prior to confirming their place.
You can book a Course Consultation straight into our diary, HERE
Our simple system allows you to choose the time and date you wish to book your chat for.
The Consultation lasts around 20 minutes and you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you wish.
Once you have completed this successfully, our Admissions Team will send you an Offer Letter.
