In a word, no. We call this course Postgraduate because it is intensive, advanced and most importantly it is the equivalent to a Level 7 – Masters.
We are flexible on qualifications depending on experience but as a guideline you can apply if you have ONE of the following:
2 A Levels & 5 GCSEs (including English & Maths)
International Baccalaureate
Experience working within events or marketing industry
Alternative professional experience within a business environment
We do have entry requirements for the course but we consider each prospective student on a case by case basis and in some cases we will consider other qualifications or experience.
If you are at all worried, you can chat with us or even preview one of the modules to get an idea of what we teach and how. Our Admissions Team will be able to help you arrange that.
Unfortunately, we are not able to facilitate work placements for online students.
If you do wish to have a work placement, which is very valuable in order to build contacts, network and get experience then you should enrol on the Postgraduate Course.
We do however offer volunteering to all students so you can build your experience that way if you wish.
The course itself is 320 hours of learning which is the minimum to achieve your CIM accredited qualification that you receive on successful completion of the course.
The course is broken down into online learning modules so you can learn it bite size chunks – this allows students to fit it around their work and personal lives.
For the Online Postgraduate Course you do also have up to 12 months to complete the full course.
Once you have paid for your course you will have access to the course on the Event Academy Learning Hub.
You will be able to access the full list of modules and you should begin starting to work through them in order.
Each modules is around 2 hours long so you can set aside an evening or half a day to focus on doing at least one module – depending on your learning speed.
Each module is video based so you can follow along and rewind any sections you are not clear on or want to review.
In addition to the modules you will also do a two group projects, 1 solo project and 1 live event.
Each project will answer a brief set by the tutor – you will present back via video to your tutor as well as complete a “leave behind” document.
Finally, you will be asked to do an exam – this is an open text book exam. It is seeing how much you have taken in – not memorised – so don’t worry too much.
We want to ensure that everyone who takes our courses is able to complete them successfully so we do request that all prospective students complete a Course Consultation prior to confirming their place.
You can book a Course Consultation straight into our diary HERE
Our simple system allows you to choose the time and date you wish to book your chat for.
The Consultation lasts around 30 minutes and you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you wish.
Because this course is the highest level accreditation we offer, we also require all students to complete an Application Form and also have an interview with an Academy Director.
First of all – don’t worry, this isn’t as scary as it sounds! The reason is that we want to ensure that if you are going to do this course, you are able to complete it successfully.
Once you have completed this successfully, our Admissions Team will send you an Offer Letter.
