Hear Directly From Our Students

Academy Director Lorne Armstrong caught up with some of our current PG & DA students to hear their honest views of virtual learning

We wanted you to hear from our students to see how they really found the course – the raw, unvarnished truth. So you will see that this video is unedited and you can hear all their thoughts directly.

In the last few months studying has changed from classroom learning to virtual learning. For our students who were already on our courses when lockdown started, we wanted to found out how they found the experience.

Our academic team has carefully weighed up the plans for the start of the new academic year and we will be running all courses to the end of 2020 as “live online” lectures.

What that means is you will be part of classes that are run via Zoom online. You will be able to interact with lecturers and other students virtually. As you will hear from our students, this has been a learning curve for them and they will tell you the up and downs of studying.

To find out more about our courses, you can see the full timetable and study modules on the course pages and we have a Virtual Open Day that you can attend on 2nd July. Both the Postgraduate and the Degree Alternative cover all aspects of event management plus some commercial modules e.g. sales & digital marketing plus you will also be taught soft skills like pitching and presenting. Our courses will also help you on your career journey with the C Me personality profiling which helps you understand your preferred way of doing things, understand others better and improve working relationships.

Join Our Virtual Open Day - attend FREE industry workshops and speak to Lecturers

All our lecturers are delivered by our expert lecturers and guest speakers come from all corners of the events industry. They choose to teach with us because they share our vision of creating the best students, to enable the industry to be its best. We are so pleased to have lecturers who have incredible credentials from the Head of Event Management at MAMA Festivals to the ex Director of London Fashion Week.

During the course you will do projects answering real life client briefs; recently our students have worked with adidas, Team GB and Jamie’s Farm. Plus you will put into teams to create your own live event at the end of the course to raise money for our charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.

Fast forward to 38.45 in the video to see the AMAZING reaction when they discover how many thousands their team has raised…!

On completion of the course, you will do an online, multiple choice exam and all successful students will receive your qualification accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing which we encourage you to share on your social media platforms and of course add to your CV.
