Kirsty works as a Senior Manager for the UK’s leading cancer charity Cancer Research UK. For the last nine years she has worked on several fundraising events including Race for Life, the largest mass participation event in the UK; Emeralds & Ivy, Ronan Keating’s fundraising ball; Stand up to Cancer, the first cancer telethon and Sound & Vision, a music and photography event at Abbey Road Studios.
In a competitive marketplace, Kirsty’s role is to deliver high quality events on very limited budgets using the power of negotiation and networks to secure new supporters for the charity, pull in celebrities, secure PR and ultimately raise thousands of pounds.
Prior to Cancer Research UK, Kirsty delivered over 100 events for The Single Solution; delivered key recruitment events for Nescot College and has a background in consumer PR.
Kirsty has a 2:1 BA degree in Communications from Cardiff University, a Post Grad Certificate in Leadership through Cancer Research UK’s talent programme and has mentored several members of staff in fundraising initiatives.
