How does it work?

It’s very simple – when you recommend a friend onto any of our courses, you will earn yourself 10% of whatever they pay (less Vat). We will pay you this once your friend has completed the course and paid in full.

FAQ’s

What do I need to do to refer a friend?

Simply email refer-a-friend@eventacademy.com and provide the name and contact details of the friend you are referring to. We will then onboard them onto their course then contact you when your payment is due.

When does the money get paid?

Just contact us once your friend has completed the course and once their course fees have been paid in full, then send us an invoice and we will pay your fee. We’re more than happy to help you with this if needed 🙂

What happens if someone pulls out of the course half way through or is unable to complete it for whatever reason?

In the event of your friend dropping out, your fee will not be paid. However, it is very rare that a student doesn’t finish the course.

Can I recommend more than one friend?

Yes, you can recommend as many people as you like, and you’ll receive the full amount for each successful referral.

I live overseas. Am I still eligible?

Yes, you are still eligible, but any costs for transferring/exchanging your money will be taken your fee.

Do I need to pay Tax on my fee?

Every individual’s situation is different, so we recommend that you seek the correct advice from professionals if you are worried or want a definitive answer.

I have recommended someone in the past onto one of these courses. Can I claim my 10%?

Sorry, no. This is only relevant to referrals made on or after 1st February 2026. Any referrals or recommendations made before this date are not valid.

Can anyone be referred?

Yes, however, candidates must first be approved by the Event Academy.

What does 10% net mean?

The refer a friend fee is 10% of the fee that your friend pays, less VAT
