Josef Jammerbund started his career in the events industry in London in the early 2000’s after leaving the tranquil hills of Austria behind to follow his dreams of living and working in the big city. After spending time in live event production at INCA and in public relations for Edelman Brand – which included producing fashion shows globally, taking over a country to launch a computer game and winning multiple awards while doing so -he also created the most photographed Christmas tree Covent Garden has ever seen. He joined the British Fashion Council in 2013 as Head of Events to take charge of the delivery of its annual events portfolio including London Fashion Week, the international London Show Rooms and The Fashion Awards, which is the industry’s biggest celebration of global talent. Most recently Josef embarked on a new journey to pursue his global ambitions to consult on luxury, cultural and lifestyle projects and collaborate with international brands to create memorable experiences. These projects currently include a launch for a global luxury jewelry brand and the re-launch of The Serpentine Summer Party in 2017. Looking after the next generation of emerging talent and future stars has always played a big part in Josef’s career, and he is giving his support as mentor at brand new initiative ELEVATE, as well as FAST FORWARD 15, a program which aims to inspire, encourage and empowers women in the events industry. For the past three years Josef has been a judge on the panels for The Event Magazine Awards and The Drum UK Event Awards. Making mindfulness a part of his everyday life, Josef is inspired by living in London, takes his creative influences from music, film and some of the best art and cultural spaces in the world and a wonderful range of diverse cultures and neighbourhoods.
