Katherine – Festival Republic
Katherine was at uni when she volunteered at Glastonbury and she realised she wanted to work in festivals. Event Academy secured her placement at MAMA Festivals which turned into a full time job has since worked on Reading, Leeds, Wilderness & Latitude.
Mia – The Goodwood Group
Mia joined Event Academy from school after deciding on a career in events. Mia is now working as an Event Planner for Motorsports including the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Charlie – Secret Island Festival
Charlie graduated in 2020 absolutely determined to work in festivals and is now working as an Event Producer for Secret Island Festival and plans to run his own festival one day.
Holly – Brand Events
Since graduating, Holly has been working at Brand Events, leading the Marketing team and bringing huge festivals to life from start to finish including Carfest & Pub In The Park.

Paid Work Opportunities

To help you earn while you learn and to develop your experience, we have teamed up with a leading event staffing company who will fast track our students into jobs that you can fit around your studies.

With a choice of jobs and flexible hours, students will have the opportunity to work at VIP launches, weddings, film locations and exclusive concerts. Examples include Wembley, Silverstone, Goodwood, Alexandra Palace and Ascot Racecourse on events such as The Grand Prix, The FA Cup Final or concerts for Childish Gambino, 50 Cent, Britney Spears, Jess Glynne, Rudimental, Years and Years. What a way to consolidate everything that’s being taught in class!

3 Month Work Placement

Our Postgraduate and Degree Alternative students have a three month work placement within the industry at the end of their course.

This is a guided process from start to finish.

Their work placement is an incredible opportunity to apply all the skills and knowledge you have learned in the classroom and demonstrate their value to a prospective employer. It gives them real-life working experience as an event manager to add to your CV as well as helping to better understand the direction they might want to take their career.

Postgraduate student receive help to prepare their CV, are taught how to do their very best at the interview(s) and receive advice on the type of placement company we believe will suit them best. Through a series of one-to-one meetings, our students are matched to the perfect opportunity to suit them and their ambitions in the industry.

Once you in their placement, we keep in close contact to guide and support where necessary.

Volunteer Work Opportunities

As an Event Academy student on any course, you will have the opportunity to volunteer at a variety of events across the industry. Our reputation within the events industry has allowed us access to some of the most exciting events including The Brit Awards, adidas City Run, Secret Cinema, Wilderness and Boardmasters Festivals…

Throughout the year, opportunities are posted for students on our online student hub. Each time you volunteer at an event you are able to add experience to your CV, create contacts and put your learning into action.
