A seasoned events professional with over 25 years’ of experience mixed between agency, client, venue and association roles. Rob’s most extensive experience is in the pharmaceutical sector where he has headed up event teams at AstraZeneca and Bristol Myers Squibb, as well as in Investment Banking with Goldman Sachs. Agency experience includes 3 years in Dubai with the Emirates Group, and 3 years with WRG. Rob has extensive strategic as well as operational expertise and is passionate about supporting development. Rob led on establishing WRG’s Graduate scheme in the London office in 2015 with the Event Academy, and continues to play an active role in the wider industry most recently serving a term as a member of the European Advisory Board for PCMA. In the summer of 2023 Rob established his own consultancy and event delivery business, Chain of Events. The business balances operational delivery work with strategic consulting support for SME’s looking to make their mark in the events industry. The business follow’s Rob’s passion for innovation, supporting development, utilising behavioural science and the understanding of audiences to target products and services successfully and to evolve the events industry for the challenges of the future needs in society. When not at work, Rob likes to think he can still play cricket, hack round a golf course or head into the great outdoors camping, walking and usually in search of a great country pub.
