Ever wanted to work at the Brit awards? If yes then keep reading. This year the Brits feature Madonna, performing 20 years after her
last Brits performance. Imagine the boost working at the event would give your CV – the name of the event alone is enough to get anyone’s attention. We offer our students a career defining
opportunity to volunteer at the Brits. But you’ll have to wait for next year now as all volunteering places for this years’ Brits have been filled due to overwhelming demand.
We talk a lot about how important volunteering is for
building your career and it isn’t just hot air. Our years of working in the events industry have shown us the difference networking and volunteering makes to career development. Even once you’ve landed that dream job in events we advise you to remain open to opportunities to volunteer and network if you really want to progress. Because we so passionately believe that your career beyond your study with us is important, and is not just about what you learn on the course, we actively build relationships with organisations to secure volunteer opportunities for our students and our alumni.
Our Course Director,
Justine Kane, Director of Education,
Claire Derrick and Head of student recruitment
Karin Pointner have some mind blowing contacts in the business, some of whom happen to be involved in the Brit awards. The past 3 years Karin has secured places for our students to volunteer at the event which gives them a career defining experience.
You might even bump into our Head of Experience,
the inimitable Hans, as we hear he likes popping up at celebrity studded events 😉
How can YOU get involved?
Places are limited and we have a reputation for supplying excellent volunteers, so we can only allow fully booked and registered students to be considered for the roles available. You don’t need to have started a course before the volunteering opportunity, but you must be registered so that we know your background and you have a genuine interest in event management. Once registered as a student you will need to apply for a volunteer place. We will contact any applicants for the volunteer places to let them know if they are successful.
If you are serious about a career in event management you will need to be looking for volunteering opportunities to develop your career. We help our students by gathering and promoting opportunities available for our current students on the
postgraduate,
diploma,
online diploma and
foundation courses and our alumni.
